In the first 34 years of having symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, a person’s brain actually undergoes changes!
Researchers from Johns Hopkins University in the United States tracked 290 volunteers over the age of 40 and found that there were signs of cognitive impairment 11 to 15 years before the onset of Alzheimer’s symptoms.
Imaging examination also found that there were changes in the medial temporal lobe 3 to 9 years before the onset of symptoms, which was associated with memory.
The study is published in the journal ‘Front Aging Neurosci’.
Therefore, some experts suggest that after the age of 40, one should consciously prevent Alzheimer’s disease and always pay attention to their physical and psychological changes.
Alzheimer’s disease, also known as Alzheimer’s disease, is also known as “God’s most vicious curse”. In a sense, it is even more terrifying than cancer. The cause of the disease is still unknown, and there is no medication to cure it. It can only be alleviated.
Starting from forgetting small things to forgetting who you are, losing your cognitive, thinking, and self-care abilities, as well as being aggressive and abusive, can be a tragedy for yourself and your family.
3 seconds,
We can only blink twice,
But for three seconds,
There will be an additional confirmed case of Alzheimer’s disease worldwide.
In China, in a few years, one out of four elderly people over the age of 80 supported by a couple will be a patient with Alzheimer’s disease.
Even more terrifying is that scientific research has found that some so-called good habits may actually be the culprits of Alzheimer’s disease.
01 Light diet
Doctors often say this sentence, but what exactly does “light” mean? Many people go to extremes and equate a light diet with long-term vegetarianism, even daring to eat oil and salt.
If you are a vegetarian for a long time, it can lead to symptoms such as weakness, pale complexion, fatigue, lack of concentration, and decreased memory. When there is a severe lack of nutrition, it can even cause diseases such as dementia, stones, osteoporosis, etc.
Especially for the elderly, special attention should be paid to nutrition, and high-quality proteins such as fish, poultry, eggs, and lean meat should be eaten frequently to ensure the intake of vegetables and fruits. Sugar and salt should be controlled in moderation, but if you don’t eat them at all, it’s even more detrimental to your health.
02 Too Clean
Dr. Molly Fox of the University of Cambridge and her colleagues analyzed the relevant data of 192 countries, and found that countries with better sanitary conditions and facilities and higher urbanization also had a higher incidence rate of cognitive impairment. Among them, the incidence rate of cognitive impairment is 33% higher in countries with good health facilities.
Frequent disinfection, frequent use of antibacterial drugs, and never being in contact with nature… When the living environment is too clean, it also damages the ecological balance.
03 Sleeping too much
Less sleep is not good, and more sleep is not good.
The University of California, San Diego School of Pharmacy and the American Cancer Society spent six years investigating 1 million people and found that adults sleep between 6.5 and 7.4 hours, with the lowest mortality rate. Long sleepers who sleep for more than 8 hours have an increased likelihood of stroke to 146%.
The Framingham Heart Study in the United States found that elderly people who sleep more than 9 hours a day have a twice as high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease as the average.
